Hello, this is a sudden emergency.

A sibling borrowed my camera and it came back un-usable. She said the battery went out, but I think she just said that not to get in trouble.

What is happening is this: Firstly, the camera is off and the lens remains un-retracted. When turned on the screen is black and nothing happens untill I press the tiny button below the speaker, the icon is a paper with a symbol close to( <~> ) that to the right, the screen illuminates to black with E18 in the lower left hand corner then totaly powers off. I'm charging the battery as of now, but I'm totally ticked off. As you may know this is a $270 camera and I just don't have the money to take it anywhere or buy a new one if this one fails to work. Please tell me this is fixable?

Powershot SD110 problem

Hello Goldfish,

Did you ever resolve your issue with the locked-up Powershot SD110? I have almost the same problem and found your inquiry on bytephoto.com.

My camera locked-up while routinely taking a picture, so your sibling may be innocent.
