C1 + PhotoShop (best process?)

Hi, I’m a PhotoShop CS passionate user. I’ve been using it since more than one year just to optimize my pictures using good part of they process potential. I’m using sometimes some plugins witch I consider useful (Digital Velvia, Shadow recovery…). Since a couple of weeks I start to use the C1 (Capture One 3.7pro, trial version) on the conversion of my RAW files (I always shoot in RAW with my camera). After some tests, I’m almost sure that the final result using C1+PS is better than process the file only with PS from the begin (with its RAW converter).
Nevertheless, there is something witch I don’t understand, I always heard that the sharpness process must be the last of the process in digital darkroom. C1 gets a sharpness much more natural than PS but you have to do it in the RAW conversion, it means on the begin of the process. In my opinion, even like this, the result is better than to applying the sharpness at the end with PS.
What do you thing about? Somebody has test it? Is acceptable to apply the sharpness on the firsts steps? (with C1 and after work with PS)

If you have a workflow that gives you the results you like then use it.

My workflow has sharpening as the last step. It makes sense to do this after all the other corrective steps -- but there have been times that I did some digital retouching after sharpening and the results were fine.

You should post some of your work for critique and get the excellent, constructive criticism from your peers at this site.

i have used both PS and C1 extensively. Until this latest version of C1, PS has usually done a better job of sharpening. I know recommend using C1 for sharpening as long as you are nor resizing the file later - I haven't tested resizing after sharpening enough to judge the artifacts that might be created.
