I have much experience with film photography with filters and polarizers. With digital, not so much at this time. In film photography, I normally use a fixed polarizing filter to remove haze and light glares. However, if you intend to take pictures of reflective surfaces you must do it in an angle and employ a circular rotating polarizing filter to effectively remove the glare and reflections in a certain angle. I guess this will also be the case with digital cameras.
