I'm not sure what I did..but i was trying to download pictures on to my pc, and it wasn't working, so i unplugged the cable from the computer, and a blue screen came onto the camera, with a hand and an X on the hand. now my camera won't turn on...

do i have any hope of fixing this?

remove the battery, wait five minutes, you should be OK

(you may need to format the card with resulting loss of pictures)
