Dimage 7i Colour Question?

Good morning!

This is my first post so let me introduce myself. My name is Ken, I live in Leeds, West Yorkshire. I have a number of hobbies but the one I am most involved with is collecting Spyderco pocket knives.

I have been taking photographs of them to put on my web site and to share with other collectors. I use a Dimage 7i and need some help to get better results particularly in artificial light.

For the best part my subjects are black and silver (steel and grip) but where a coloured handle is concerned I have problems! The dark green and blue turn out looking black! I would appreciate any tips.
