it is hardware related and xp so im hoping someone will know.
ive just bought a sony cybershot stills camera ,ive come to plug it in to my laptop via usb and absolutly nothing? not even a sign saying unknown device or a problem or anything at all , ive tried my old camera to make sure the usbs are working and its fine . it says in the instructions xp will find it and a wizard will install it ,no need to install the driver ( which incidently i have done now anyway, manualy)
has anyone any ideas on this id be really grateful for any ideas?
ive never had this on my pc before ?

I have that camera and it should work in PTP in the setup dial.
