Is this normal !!!
I've recently bought a Jenoptik 2.1ff camera to replace my old jd800i. Obviously I only use it for occasional photo's but, now this new one has an LCD screen, it uses batteries ridiculously quickly. Is this normal? and if so what can I do to make the 2xaaa's last longer than 15mins (I've already tried turning off the screen at every opportunity). All advice very much appreciated,
mof.

I just bought a new camera and had the same problem until someone told me about the 'mAh' on Rechargable batteries (I'm assuming its rechargeable your using), it seems the higher the mAh the longer batteries last. I've found the batteries I bought which are 2100 mAh last me well over 2 days using my camera quite a bit.
Hope this helps as I'm pretty new at this myself...

Yes, you have to look at the mAh rating of your battery. The higher this value, the longer the battery lasts. I think the highest available so far is 2,300 mAh. But I use also 2,100 mAh rechargeable NiMH batteries and I'm satisfied with their performance. Just be sure to bring some spares when you go out on a photographic trip so you will not be disturbed with your art due to non-availability of spares.
