Canon 20D Error 99

This is the second day with the camera and i got a Error 99, i read up on some websites that said to take out battery for a few mins and that resets the error, well it worked. Before I reset it I did take off the lens and put it back on. Now the error seems to be gone.

I took the camera out with me to work and it was quite cold in the car so i am hoping that it was the moisture/dew that caused this error.

Anyone else have any input on this?

I got the same error message (99) when I was doing continuous shooting with my 20D. It was really scary! I thought my camera was faulty. I really wonder why that message came on. I was indoors.

This happened to me with my old Digital Rebel a couple of times, finally would not correct itself. I took it back and exchanged it for another.
No problem yet with my 20D. Steve
