canon powershot software

i recently bought a new powerbook. i would like to install the software to use my powershot s40. However, due to the recent bout of hurricanes in Florida, I'm not sure where the disk is. Current theories place it in a poorly labeled box in one of three storage facilities. Would anyone be able to point me in the general direction of a download so that i can get the pictures off of my camera and onto the laptop during my vacation next week? I have thus far only been able to locate UPDATES to the software. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

Don't think you can get the full version of the software - you need to go back to the retailer to get a replacement copy. The Canon website only provides updates.

yeah I knew all that already, but when i called canon they told me that the only way to acquire new disks is to buy a new camera. I went to the store where i bought my camera; they were equally unwilling to help me out. Anyway, I bought a card reader so that i can thansfer photos while on vacation this weekend, and canon has definately lost a customer.
