Nice Mood
The darkness and texture on the water from the wind make this one interesting and different than most sunsets. Nice back yard. Regards, Henry

Richard, Henry, riri23 thank you for your positive comments ….
Riri23 you are correct of course about the horizon…… I was trying to use the dock and foreground to minimize its dominance … I’m really not sure what else I could have done and still been able to capture as much of both the cloud structure and the reflective feel of the water that I wanted

I would not worry at all about the horizon. The "rule of thirds" or whatever you want to call it, to me is just more of a guide and not set in stone. There are times when having your horizon in the middle works quite well.
Sometimes we have a habit of knowing a "rule" and focusing on it above all else. In this case I think the rule was meant to be broken
