Ok, figured out how to upload photos - thanks! How are you doing with the camera? Still finding lots of things to learn, but liking it. Now I have to get a filter to protect the lens

hey....thought you have decided to return the digicam back? So decided to keep it finally? Anyway just went to look at the Nikon D70S COOL! But the price is COOLER!
Right now, still wondering whether any good software to reduce the picture noise especially when the background is dark..noise is very visible or wonder whether the FZ20 itself can be configured to reduce the noise level...hmmm..
till then...enjoy exploring ;)

Yes, the FZ20 has built in NR, but you would be better off keeping it set to Low, and using an aftermarket noise reduction program. You will have much more control that way. Neat Image is free and good, but I use Jasc PSP 9 which has built in NR. I have had good results with that. Of course, YMMV.
