Hawaii photos - Canon 20D review
New "first look" photos posted:

After much review on good SLR digital camera's, I picked the Canon 20D with a 28-135mm lens. The camera was to take my photos to the next level, digital printing, and for a long term solution on photos. I feel it took wonderful photos and was excellent to use and experiment with the many settings.
Take a look for yourself. The subject was my lovely wife, the Hawaiian islands, and some high speed surf shots. I'm not a pro at all, but some of these are the best I've ever taken. The 20D photos are in the Hawaii album.
I used one 2 Gb memory card and it held 375 max size photos at jpeg compression. Click on the EXIF Image details for the speed, focal length, etc for each photo.
The camera's heavy weight makes it good for a steady handheld photo and it feels solid. That's a big difference from the Canon Rebel. But for $1000 less (including a good lens) the Rebel has a ton of good features and would make a better fit with someone that is more price sensitive and just getting into the SLR camera area.
I had SLR 35mm cameras for years, but ever since the digital point-and-shot cameras came out I've not used the 35mm. I also noticed I didn't print many photos anymore and just shared them online. This was the other main reason for the Canon 20D...it will make the printed digital photo have the best chance at looking it's best.
Hope that helps and post any comments/questions.
