 Exclamation Sony DSC-V1

Hi, im new to this and i need urgent help. i have a sony DSC-V1 and a LEXAR 256mb memory stick but the thing is that when i insert the memory stick into the memory card slot in my PC. the photos appear but i cant open them? what may be the problem and how can i fix it.
