Apart from the 3.2 Megapixel Barrier, it is really a nice camera. You can get a Lens and Hood set for the same. See below.
Lens Hood Set
The only camera that comes close is the Panasonic DMC-FZ10, FZ20 but I noted that the Image quality is not as good as the CANON. Panasonic has a lot of NOISE. If you visit www.photosig.com then you will find sample images for all the above cameras.
