A205 focus error message

I have a Fujifilm Finepix A205 and when shooting last night, it gave me a FOCUS ERROR message. I followed what the manual said to do; turn off, keep paws off lens, etc. but the message still comes up.

Anyone have this problem? Any suggestions or solutions?

WHAT EXACTLY DOES THE FOCUS ERROR SAY? THERES A COUPLE OF DIFFERENT MESSAGES THAT CAN COME UP AND EACH ONE HAS A DIFFERENT MEANING IF YOU TELL I'LL TELL YOU WHAT TO DO

I have the same prob. Never had a problem for almost 2 years, took excellent care of camera. Then one day, I switch it on, it can''t focus, beeps three times and FOCUS ERROR shows in viewfinder in white letters on red. Now zoom lens wont retract. I bought this cam when it was new and will be very upset if it's kaput. Anyone know what's wrong?

Focus error

Hi guys
I have the sameproblem and m still searching for a resolution. However did any body try updating the firmware of the camera??????
I donot have the data cable with me right now as it got destroyed, if anybody gets a positive sign with,then please revert back to me at: arunraj_naiyar@yahoo.co.in
