For $322CAD all inclusive. Good buy?

This will be my first digicam but I plan to use this for at least 2 years. I'm not much into photography but would like to be able to have some more advanced features.

I usually take pictures of scenery and buildings and things like that when I'm on vacation.

I like this camera because of it's Leica lens and low price. The reviews seem ok, and the specs are good. I figured 3.2MP would be enough since I don't plan to do any large prints. Mainly just want to store them on a cd or something like that.

Also, would the speed of the SD card matter in this camera? In other words, using a 12X card and a 60X card, would this camera perform better? Would it be wise to get a 60X get to go with it? the Sandisk 512MB 12X is $130CAD. the Panasonic 512MB 60X is $180CAD.
