I like the way you captured the reflection …….the memorial is a very emotional place…..the hand reaching out to a name adds a human touch

Nice picture.
I like it but I think I would have liked it better with a little more of the hand. Not sure though.

I actually have more of the hand in the original but I felt that it was over exposed to the point it was distracting to the rest of the photo. Maybe, I'll post the original for comparison . . .

I really like how you yourself is reflected off the marble or stone... I think the real hand is distraction... if you took it out of the picture totally, it would be a very natural and calm fine piece of art.

The picture was taken at the Vietnam Memorial in Washington, DC. The monument is a wall inscribed with the 50+ thousand names of those who lost their lives. People visit to find family names. Some even take a piece of paper and hold it to a name while rubbing pencil lead along the name getting an image. It is always a somber experience to watch people here.
The gentlemen in the picture was looking for and found the name he was seeking. I was fortunate enough to catch him when he found it . . .

just reading that sent a chill down my spine its a really moving picture...
