37mm to 58mm lens adaptor
Is there a lens adaptor that will marry up a Sony DSC-S50 37mm threaded lens to an Opteka 58mm, 2x AF Telephoto lens that would normally fit a Fuji FinePix S5000? Where can I find one? Do I then have to buy another adaptor to step back down to the filter lens?

stepup rings
they are generally called step up rings or stepping rings and can be had in hundreds of sizes.
You are going to have to have your local camera shop special order it or buy it on line as there are so many no one carries them all in stock.
If I understood the secong half of your question you want to put 37mm filters back on the lense. You would need a step down ring to put it on the front but you would get bad vignetting and not like the results. Try placing it behind the tele-convertor. I use a polarizer filter behind my 37mm tele-convertor and it works great.
You can buy a 37mm tele-convertor on ebay for around $10-20 and it may cost you that much for the adapter. the 58mm convertor is big and much heavier than a 37mmk convertor so it may be something you want to consider.
