I need to archive several hundred old, family photos. Sizes vary from tiny (2x2") to large (10x12"). I plan to buy a scanner (which is another question: best scanner for the money?), but I need to figure out the best photo archive software, where I would scan a photo, then enter a caption title. I'm looking for ease of use since there are so many to do. Like I said before, there are lots of different sized photos, so I need something that will make all the digital images the same size. Hopefully, the software will allow me to pull up photos based on key search words. Also, I would like to save the images in a common format, like jpeg, that's easy for other folks to download and open without special software on their end.
