Urgent help required!!!!

I have just learnt that I have to hand back my company's TFT monitor which I use in my home office on Thursday. PANIC! I don't actualy have a monitor of my own since gaining the TFT a few years ago. Obviously I need to buy one ASAP. Any recomendations for cheap CRT monitors 17 inch and above (preferably in UK) which are ok for image processing? Money's tight at the moment after buying my new EOS 10D so the cheaper the better. I have seen 19 inch monitors for only £116 from Novatech??!!

Any help and recomendations, pros, cons etc. appreciated.

Regards,

Geoff.

not sure about over your way -- but if money is really tight (really really tight) check the recycling area at the dump. with so many people upgrading to flat screens and jumbo-trons there are always some good ones sitting in the trash. can't hurt till the cash flow returns....and if it does stink -- throw it out

Hi Geoff,

Sorry to here this...
I suggest looking at the NEC/Mitsibushi range, they are considered to be of very good quality for image processing. In many graphic departements here where I live (France), there are, apart from the Apple monitors, many Formac's, so maybe if they are readily available across in the UK, have a look at the price range of these too as they are good value for money.
Hope this helps... Good luck !!!

I have three NEC's of various sizes. I didn't spend much for them and they have been great for everything personal and business. You should be able to find one for less than $250 for a 19".
