Hi All,

Took this morning...5.4.04.....this is with my astro CCD camera hooked to my Minolta 55mm 1.4 lens....mounted on my telescope.

This shot was taken in Black in White...because of the binning mode (no color information)...So, I added the blue background.......and added the color to the two objects from previously taken images.....the comet color came from one taken yesterday.

Color...Neat Image

b&W with the light gradient removed and background darkened a bit

b&w with the light gradient....this is for those purists that always want to see the unmodified version


Telescope: Minolta Lens...55mm 1.4f
Camera: SXV-H9C
Binned 2x2
approx 85 mins of exposure (multiple exposures..stacked)

Of course, the moon is always full when trying for something like this

Hi Bud,
WOW !! 85 minutes of exposure... I didn't know these type of shots took so long to take.
Thanks for posting a series of shots like these.. helps understand all the work that goes into creating great astro photos. It would also be interesting to see a shot of one of your set-ups, camera, telescope etc..
