I'm in Chronos, it's good to have criticism, you can learn from it and also pass it on. I used to call it 'Suggestive Criticism' not quite so harsh as just the word 'Criticism'. I also like the idea that members can choose if they have criticism or not. Regards [F.R.]

There's the point and you are over here
Well davemin I must apologize but it seems you may have missed my point. or perhaps I did not phrase my thoughts well. It does seem that many others understood me but let me explain. I found myself offering suggestions to people who didn't want any advice and that's fair enough. I don't know why someone wouldn't want to hear an opinion after all you can take it or leave it. So instead of wasting their or your time as well as my own on a detailed critique I decided to find out who even wanted my opinion and the others I would just rate, unless as requested in the rating was under a 5 where we are to give our reasons.
I guess it might have sounded like I was blowing my own horn. I apologize as this was not my intent. what I was trying to do was to let those who might want to work on their skills, as I do, know that I have a varied background with photography and would be happy to help where I can. Something I look for from my friends here at BP. I want to hopefully inspire others to look outside the box of digital to open there Art or Photography horizons, to free the scope of their thoughts.
With my second post I was giving those people interested some insight to my grading so they don't get discouraged with their work which is the last thing I want.
In answer to your questions I think you just curtsey, it's the lady like thing to do
I don't think your off your rocker just kinda angry or confrontational about your rocking.
I hope that you continue to enjoy meeting with your friends here over "java" and I am not quite sure if you want me to comment on your posts or not, But I hope that I elucidated the original point of my post sufficiently and that there are no hard feelings.

HOT
Its very very interesting Dear Friends.
And I hope that more BP-ers join this discussion.
I also wished that Chronos started this discussion with a other -more ,,human" - tone ./voice/sound etc.
If that would be the case., Davemin would have give a totaly different answer....
( yess ., I am worried )
I am worried becaurce a good topic started wrong and thats bad for a site like BP.BP is a totaly other site, its a combination of photo's and people., people & photo's.Its a warm and personal site.
Its also a ,,tricky " site with (semi) profs and amateurs., with bad and good pictures and all of them are welcome.
In that respect the owners of this site made it not easy., in their policy everone is welcome., the good.,bad and ugly (photo's)
This means for us (members) a also special way of operating here wich is NOT easy !!!
This will only work if we use our heart .
Photo's are emotions more than art IMHO.
Lets share our emotions and lets try to make our world smaller and more personal please.

If nessasary., I will join this important discussion later again.
( see also my input at the other forum about POTW and critiques)
Kind regards.,
Loft

Hi Andy,
For the moment post here in the Photo Sharing forum. You may create a poll on certain questions you wish answered about your photos.
However, in the near future (when we have time that is ) a specific critiques section will be created just for this.
Hope this answers your ????'s

Critique
My main reason for posting here was to get just that....critique. Along with enjoying the photos posted here. There are some great ones! I would like to improve my photography and the tips I have received so far have already helped me do that.
I truly appreciate any input/advice that you may have. Please take a look when you get a chance.
Thanks again.
