My view of London!

This week I went to London for a couple of days whilst my partner was on business there. I wanted to capture my experience of London and it's people in the short time that I had.

I shot a lot of photos and have put together a gallery here: http://www.pbase.com/britishbeef/london

Feedback welcome!

Meanwhile here's some tasters (all images shot with my humble Minolta Dimage 7Hi):

Regards and thanks for looking,

Geoff.

Wonderful Work

You have a wonderfull eye Geoff. All fout shots are brilliant but I think my favourite has to be the last pigeon shot. Haven't checked out the gallery yet but I'm looking forward to it.

Thanks for sharing such great shots.

Matt

My favorite is the last one too.

Huh... I don't think you have a "humble" camera. Look at the second one. It does night shots! With mine, I would get mostly dark and a fuzz of light...

Hey Beef...

Do you ask people's permission when you take their picture?
And do you put the borders one by one or you get them automatically?

Hi flubby,

Thanks for your comments. In answer to your question: No, I just shoot and run!!!!!

All the shots of people in my gallery are candids. If I were to ask permission then the natural look of the subject would be lost.

Regards,

Geoff.

I created an 'Action' in Photoshop that means with one click of a mouse button the image is resized for the web and the border and copyright info is created.

Regards,

Geoff.

I knew it!
I don't think anyone can be insane enough to do that manually.

Nice macro...

Btw... do you know how much Photoshop usually cost?

In the UK (where I am) the Lite version (Photoshop Elements) is approx £65 which is usualy all most people need.

The Full version is approx £530!

Regards,

Geoff.

Beautiful set of images......that's about as much color as I've ever seen in London. Nice collection of perspective shots of the ferris wheel....also enjoyed the black and white section in the train station.

thanks for sharing

Oh! That's pretty useful information to me. My dad said that in my country, the photoshop would cost R$2500! (of my money). The Lite version costs much less there, too.

What does the full version has in addition? Does it have anything very useful?

I gues I will buy the Lite version too...
