Can anyone tell me if a "Magnicon MC 70-210" zoom lens would be compatable with the Canon EOS 300D?

Not at all familiar with the brand name.

The lens must have and EF type mount which is Canons proprietary configuration. Many manufacturers advertise as "Canon type" or "Canon compatible". This does not guarantee anything - generally the contact information must be the same in order for the AF (and other) functions to work properly.

Free advice : If you have spent this kind of money on a GOOD camera, don't put junk glass on the front !!

Hi stinky, I'm with setiprime, you have a good camera, give it a good lens. I stick with Canon lenses myself for my DRebel and have never been disappointed.
