I am very new at this. I'm trying to print photos with my CanonS600. I'm using generic 4x6 glossy cards. No matter what I do the top (in portrait left in landscape) 1.5 inces or so is blank and the photo is moved down correspondingly. Is there anything I can do about this? Would it help to use Canon brand cards?

An unrelatred problem. Is there a source that can help me match the printing color to my monitor appearance? I hate to just waste paper experimenting until I get the color I want.

Sorry if these are primitve questions. That't the stage I'm at.
