I was greatly impressed with 'A Comprehensive guide to digital landscape photography' by AVA press (no author credits)

It takes the work of 30 professional photographers and discusses each photo with three sections SHOOT - ENHANCE - ENJOY

I liked the 'SHOOT'section that took you into the mind of the photographer usually before the shoot to learn how he visualized the end result before shooting and how he approached the project.

Enhance is post shoot processing. I was not surprised to see how many pros use only the simplest techiniques to enhance their images. It goes to prove how far a perfect exposure can take you.

'ENJOY' could have any additional suggestions from how the seell the prints (sizes meterial framing) to how to display the print.

Images ranged from traditional (make the image as true to nature as possible) to total fantasy for an envirnmental impack project.

I love books that make me think and see photographs in a different way.

I got the book from my local library so anyone in the country can request it through their local library and mine or someone else will send it to you library under what is called ILL Inter Library Loan.

Another interesting book was Digital Nature Photography by John Cox, He is a photography instructor at the University of Deleware. A very good basic book for the beginner to intermediate nature photographer.
