old english postbox
I spotted this yesterday. Winds were gale force when I took this, although it doesn't look like it. I could hardly keep the camera straight!

Regards,
Geoff.

Geoff....that is great.....what a stark contrast with the bright red and the old stone style wall.

Wonderful shot.
I can't help thinking that it's leaning ever so slightly to the left, though. I'd be inclined to straighten that up a touch.

You are not the first to say that Aaron! I too thought it was not perfectly vertical but upon checking it really is (I a marquee tool rectangle down one side of the postbox). It's the old stone wall that is wonky!
Thanks for your comments.
Regards,
Geoff.

Another fine shot !!!
In some situations with these optical effects, straightening a suject doesn't work to well, but offsetting it slightly might make it 'optically' work.

Came back for another look.....it's interesting how the wall goes from relative order on the left side to seeming chaos or disreapair on the right.
