Dan,

I like the pictures....my only complaint/suggestion would be to "punch" them up a bit. They seem to have a haze to them or just not vibrant enough.
If you have photoshop, I'd be glad to do a couple and then explain what I did if it pleased you.

Danny....I adjusted three of them......
I cut strips out of the adjusted part so that you could see the difference,
The technique works better on some than the others.




This technique sometimes takes a little detail out of the shadow areas as in this pic. but does brighten up the rest and bring out some of the detail (in the rocks for instance)



Of course the detail in the shadows can be brought back very easily with a mask on the adjusted area.

I almost never allow my camera to do sharpening or saturation adjustements....I like to do it in PS.
I have found that using the USM (unsharp mask) filter does this quite nicely.
Make a duplicate of the background layer.
USM of 30, 50, 0
then to sharpen
USM of 60, 1, 0
then usually tweak the Saturation from about 10 to 20.

I havent thought, that sharpnes can brought back in such dimensions.
