Olympus E-1
Has anyone here went for the Olympus E-1 ?
I'm looking into getting a dslr and wondering if anyone has any thoughts on this option.
I know there are some other very good brands Canon 10D etc... but having bought Olympus cameras since the OM days, and also the E-1 body is very similar to my actual E-10, I wouldn't have too much of a learning curve to accomplish before I was productive with the camera.

If only
Hi RVB
As soon as I held the E1 in my hands I fell in love with it. Compared with the other SLRs I've tried it just seemed so much more balanced and also lighter. Too expensive for me at the moment but I'm saving. The only drawback I can see with it is the 5MP sensor when most other proffesional models offer the 6MP. I also hear that the lense that comes with it is excellent quality which helps to justify the cost. I wouldn't advise you either way as my knowledge on digital SLRs is pretty basic. It's definitley worth having a hold and getting the feel of it and comparing it to the other SLRs on the market.

E-1
RVB,
I asked a similar question on DP Review and some owners of the different OLY SLR's replied to me.
One person has had almost all of the Oly slr's and is now set on the E-1, so maybe you might want to see his comments.
I just cant justify the money right now

Matt and Ruth,
Thanks for the info. At the moment it is a little expensive for me too (European prices), so I'll wait for the price to drop as I usually do.
