Do you photograph differently in digital #2
A new topic I have added to my seminars is the concept of digital photography changing the way you photograph.
I would like opinons on whether you see and photograph differently in digital.
Topic two relates to how digital has changed my appreciation for what shoot.
With a computer and the quick acces to images on a screen, I have begun to look at photos in a differnet way.
For 35 years I have been a large print person and still am, but while reviewing my photos in slideshow mode I have come to see photos as a group rather than an individual image.
Photos I would have discarded as rejects before are very rewarding when displayed as a group.

I recently spent an hour shooting egrets and herons feeding locally. There were about 50 birds. I got two photos out of a hundred shoot that make great enlargements, but rather than discarding the rest as I would have done in the past I kept 40 that when viewed as a slide show are very rewarding.
Some do not have enought depth of field to include all the birds in the shot. Birds with their heads under water feeding were not very interesting as a single print but more satisfying to me as a slide show than I would have been with video. They are my current screen saver.
The difference to me is the ease of displaying a slide show on a computer or televison as opposed to the equipment necessary for viewing slides and the impossibility of using prints as a slide show.
