The Lake District
Hi All,
My first post and firt things first I would like to say to the creators of this site. Fanastic job chaps. I'm new to all this digital camera malarkey (chirstmas present!) and I've already found this site very informative.
Anyway I invite you all to view my first offering (Skiddaw and Bassenthwaite Lake, Lake District, Cumbria, England!) by going to my gallery. Please rate, but I would value your honest comments more.
Pics like this ......
... and more, for your viewing pleasure.
Regards, Kwame.

Kwame,
You've got a good start with your new camera. Welcome to the group and don't be afraid to share more pics and comment on what you see.
I took a look at your gallery and it is a beautiful place and you've captured it with a nice style.....makes me want to be there.

thanks for the postive comments Bud, much appreciated. Your right it is a very beautiful place, infact I had forgotten how much so as I had not been there for about 6yrs. I did take more shots whilst there and will probably add those to my gallery over the weekend.

cheers Gill. Glad you like. Pic here is my second favourite, 'Thirsty Dog' is my personal fav. You want to try and make the effort yourself to get to the Lakes sometime. Am sure you'd love it.

Some nice photos in your gallery.. I would just like to suggest to level up some of your horizons. Some are not horizontal.
Just my thoughts... look forward to seeing more from this beautiful area of Britain...

I haven't looked at your gallery yet, but I do have a couple comments about this image. There are two things I would have done different, and you may have a reason you didn't . 1) I would have moved up a little to get the tops of the hills in and not cut them off. 2) By moving up (or cropping) you would have gotten rid of the tree top on the bottom, which I think takes away from the image. Other than that I love it. I think the lighting is great, it gives the image a great "feel".

thanks for the suggestions, and glad you like the shot. will take on board on my next assignment. however, as it was my first time out I was reluctant to do any editing so that people would judge my shots as is.
I am alreadly genuinely pleased with the positive feedback I have had thus far. There is obviously much to learn in this game and I am a willing student.
