lenses for sony MVC CD500

just got my first digital camera..Sony Mavica mvc cd 500. I see lenses on e-bay that say 2.0 x, 2.5 x telephoto as well as optional wide angle macro lense for this camera. My camera came with a Carl zeiss 3x optical lense. will these lenses be better?? In the ad they make it look like they zoom in closer to the horse. thanks in advance for your time

Its best to do some research before you buy the extra lense. Some dont work well with certain cameras. I had an ad on lense that I used for my Olympus C3030 and it worked ok, but when I got my C750 and tried it, it was really terrible. I ended up purchasing the TCon 1.7 made by Olympus.
The C750 has an on board 10x optical zoom. See if dpreview.com has information about that lense with your camera. There might be a lot of people there that use your camera and could tell you what they purchased.
