Sony V3 'AE Lock' Button
My Sony DSC-V3 has an 'AE Lock' button. I know what it does but don't see the point of using it. Doesn't the capture-button lock the exposure setting when you press it halfway down before taking the picture? So in what situations would I use the AE Lock to lock the exposure?
Thanks in advance
Pip

I think this is right.
If for example your taking an panoramic shot and wanted to stitch the pictures together, you would want all the shots exposed the same. By locking it, the camera doesnt meter and set different exposure settings.
think this explains it better
