DSC-p41 Not working! help!

Hi, i have a sony DSC-P41, i got it in december. anyhow it got really dusty inside so i took it apart to clean it. no problems. i then took it apart to clean it about a month later and i accidently broke the ribbon that connects the camera to the back part (LCD and buttons) anyhow it worked without the lcd, bought a new ribbon installed it now the green light turns on for about 1/4 second and then off. is there a fix for this? i'm thinking it's in protect mode. hitting the reset button just lets it turn the green light on for a bit again.

get it to a shop to get it checked out, its hard to say other wise
