viewed pictures on camera now show file error!

I just got back from holiday's and i looked through the pictures I took on my Sony DSC P73 camera before I left where all the pictures were fine and showed up. once back i took my memory card to a photo lab to get them printed and an error occured. I got a yellow resolution warning for half of the pictures but only the first four pictures printed. Now when I look at the pictures on the camera the first four are fine, half show the message file error, and the rest show at first them go into really tiny rectangles in the middle of the screen (can't show them on PC either). What happened? How do I get those pictures back and print the others? please help
