pix quality bad with the dsc-t1

I took a picture with the sony dsc-t1 and these light spots showed up on my pix. I don't really know why, I'm guessing it could be a dirty lense but, I cleaned it right before I used it. here is the pix.

Unfortunately, from my experience it seems to be a problem with the camera.
I bought a DSC-T1 a couple of months ago and was also getting these random spots and poor flash, so I sent the camera back for repair due to the time it was taking for repair I ran the risk of going on a very important/expensive vacation without a camera, so, being as I had already purchased a load of DSC-T1 extras I bought another DSC-T1 knowing that I already had back up memory sticks, batteries etc..ready to go.
Guess what? exactly the same symptoms on our holiday pics.
Random white spots, sometimes here, sometimes there, sometimes up to 6, sometimes none at all, there is no reasoning for it!
And the same with the flash, sometimes it lights uo the subject adequately, sometime not.

So, I have have bought 2 DSC-T1's both with the same erratic quality problems, do a search on the net for "DSC-T1 spots" and you will see we are not alone.

    Received from Sony Repair Centre.
    Customer Information
    Your pictures show ’‚’‚…‚’‚Ή¦‚“snowflakes’‚’‚…‚’‚…Ύ‚
These artefacts are caused by fine dust particles floating in the air near to your camera’‚’‚…‚’‚…Ύ‚s lens. Each particle is strongly lit by the flashlight causing an out-of-focus blurry disc to appear on the picture.
This behaviour is typical of any subcompact camera whose flashlight is forcibly placed very close to the lens.
Please avoid using the flash in a dusty or smoky environment!
    Sincerely
    Your Sony-Team

So there you have it, don’‚’‚…‚’‚…Ύ‚t take pictures with the flash at all, this has never happened on any other compact camera.
Clean the environment, filter the air where your kid’‚’‚…‚’‚…Ύ‚s are having their parties and then you just might be able to record the memory on a DSC-T1!!
