Resubmitting images to the contest

You may have noticed that I no longer have been giving out "honorable mention" ribbons.

These ribbons told you that even though we could not include your image in the finals during any week, we still feel it is a good image and welcome you to resubmit it to the contest.

I am now leaving that decision up to you as a member. If you feel one or more of your images that did not make the finals anytime since Bytephoto has been in existence 2003-2010 (for those long time members) and you would like to see it have a chance for POTW, you are encouraged to resubmit your best work anytime in future contests.
Try not to submit the same image 2 weeks in a row. You might get a better response if you wait at least a couple weeks to resubmit an image.
An image can only win POTW once, so for those long time members, make sure a resubmitted image had not previously won.
If you are not sure, please ask and I may be able to research it for you to determine if it had won under previous management.

Ruth,
can you re-submit an image that was a finalist in P.O.T.W., and didn't win. Or just images that weren't selected as finalists.

Hi Peter,
I think that was my original intention. I'll have to rethink the idea of submitting if its already been a finalist.

If I said yes, then we would have members resubmitting finalists that did not win all the time, and members would be always commenting on the same pictures. Could get boring for the members )
