Until now, most commonly used software dewarpers assume lenses followed idealistic equidistant angle mapping. Based on its expertise with real-world fisheye lenses, Sunex has developed a new proprietary algorithm to represent the mapping function of commercially available fisheye lenses. This enables a more accurate representation of the distortion properties of the user's specific lens.
