Adobe Gamma
OK
I got my new computer, installed PS 7 and started playing with a picture. Next thing I new my monitor gets this "fadded out" look. I started looking at my monitor setup and screen settings, when I found this "Adobe Gamma". I guess it is supposed to help you set how the picture looks so you have true colors or something.... Anyways, I can't get my monitor back to it's original settings. My question is: do I have use this Adobe Gamma or can I turn it off or.....?
What options do I have with this? Has anyone else had this type of problem?

Well, first, if you set things correctly in Adobe Gamma, your monitor should display things MUCH better than you can set it, unassisted. You can run it over and over to try to get a result to your liking, then your system will use the last one you ran.
I recommend running it and choosing the Wizard method, which will guide you through the proper actions, step-by-step.
If you really want to get rid of it, go to your Windows Startup folder and remove remove the entry, "Adobe Gamma Loader".
