    photoshop novice!

    hi there

    I have recently started to use photoshop what would you say is a good way to learn using the programme? i.e images to use, techniques or simple proceedure's or info that may be off some benifit.

    There are great books out there that can get you started. My favorites are by author's Andy Anderson and Scott Kelby. Scott has quite a few books out and all of them are great.

    Kelby is great!

    Also it might be worth taking Comm College classes in it!

    In addition to tutorials and classes, just experiment and have fun! Open a few jpegs and see what all the tools do. Get a feel for what levels/hue/sat/duotone/tritone/etc can do for a photograph. Crop, dodge, burn.

    I learned a decent amount just from doing that but I would suggest also taking a class or using a tutorial.
