Improvements

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed the general improvement in the quality of photos this week? The sections are going to be very hard to judge (especially in the landscape section!). It must be due to the good weather we are experiencing or else we are all improving?

I agree Sue, I was going to post a message in the forum about it but you beat me to it Many of the long time members just keep getting better, then of course many of the newer members that have joined 2010 and 2011. Each one deserves to win, its going to be a hard choice. Its even becoming harder to choose the 36 finalists each week, especially since we only allow each photographer to only have one entry in the finals for any of the categories. I have noticed many members try to enter photos that can be placed into separate categories, giving them a better chance of 2 of their images being part of the 36 finalist each week. For those members that enter 2 images in the same category in any given week, it can sometimes be hard for me to determine which of those 2 images has the best potential to win POTW and beyond when both images entered are exceptional.

So, as a reminder to all the members, don't forget to read the Contest Rules / Info and Policies on the front page link to help you see when the best time to resubmit your images that did not make it into the finals.
