    autofocus lens

this might be a stupid question, but here it is:

say if i was looking at a lense at a store and it says: "Canon Zoom Telephoto EF 75-300mm f/4.0-5.6 EF IS Image Stabilizer USM Autofocus Lens"

of course i'm just using that one as an example, but when it says "autofocus lens" does it mean only autofocus and no manual focus?

    thanks in advance

    autofocus

the lens you asked the 75-300 is lens does both...it autofocuses and will manual focus if switch on side is flipped...downside of the image stabilized lens is that you can't have stabilizer turned on well on a tripod and will not work when in autofocus mode...to add to this the 75-300 mm is lens takes generally horrendous soft shots at full 300 mm and anything below an f8 stop...hope this helps
