I have installed some of Bud's frame actions as part of an "add on" set to the Hidden Power tools. You need Ling Nero's installer. Here is some information from a forum post. Let us know how you make out.

    ***********************************

    New Frames/Actions for Elements Users
To all, I have completed a new set of frames and actions, these have now been modified for Elements 1 & 2. This set requires the installation of the previous set of actions for Elements...this set can be downloaded here:

    http://www.retouchpro.com/forums/sh...=&threadid=5221

HIDDEN POWERS NOTE: If you have installed Richard Lynchs' set then you probably shouldn't install this into the welcome screen as this will overwrite some of his files. You can install these into the Recipes area and shouldn't have any problems with Richards HP stuff.

If you have only used my previous set, then you should be able to put these in either place with no problems. This set also includes thumbnails of the Frame actions for both places. The ones in the Recipes area are considerably larger.

The set includes a set of oval frames...both wood and matte....they can be used in the landscape mode or portrait mode.

There are three wood types, and all have the same functionality. I have a complete set of examples available here:

    http://www.pbase.com/budguinn/new_actions_frames

The set also includes some Window frames to put your picture in for display. All come in wood but can be easily modified to color...instructions are in the action.

And, there are a few other things
    Award Achievement Plaque...to send/email to someone....for grins.
The little brass plaque with rivets.

Again a special thanks to Ling Nero for helping with the html stuff and making a set of thumbnails.
Ling also has an add on set of thumbnails for the 26 Paint/sketch actions and the Photo Enhancement actions that are in the original set. You can get these enhancements and install instructions (very nice thumbnails) here:

    http://www.geocities.com/rnlnero/PE2stuff.html

I should take this moment, also, to thank Danny Raphael for all of his help on the first set......and all of the many people who had written the actions in the "Mother of All Collections" that many of the actions were taken from. When the author was known I tried to give them the credit for the action....thanks again.

I hope everyone finds these fun and helpful

    comments are always welcome

    Something went wrong

Hello, I went to the site that Budguinn suggested, then I downloaded and intalled the SnapActions into the Adobe Elements program. Well, I can see them in the SnapActions Index when I am in the program, BUT the program will NOT allow me to use them. They are all there, But when i try to use them, a pop-up come that I am NOT allowed to use them

Are you using Elements 2? Also, try first installing the free Hidden Power tools from that site before Ling's actions.

No I have Photo Elements 1... And I downloaded the zip file that was just underneath these words..............

If you've never installed snapActions or Ling's UI, download the basic package for your platform and version:

Here is a link for a free Hidden Powers tool download for Elements.

    http://www.hiddenelements.com/freetools.html

My suggestion is to upgrade to Elements 2 and get Richard Lynch's excellent book. The Hidden Power of Elements 2 with it's included CD for adding tools such as Curves, Channel Mixer and some frame actions included. Amazon has it at a discounted price. I have it and along with Ling's stuff it is awesome. I recently added Fred Miranda's Intellisharpen program that will work with both Elements 2 and PS7 and it gives excellent and quick results.

When you open the SnapActions interface....you say that you are able to see the actions?......if so do you then click on the action and hit the little arrow in the middle to move them to the right side of the interface?
If this is done you must then click the "generate" button at the top right....this writes the proper html sheets for the system to work.
Once you've done the above you can go to elements and they should show under the recipes/how to area.
Lings interface and Richards will work quite well together.......as Lings and Richards are installed into different areas and really don't interfere with each other.
