My Absence
Just a note to reassure any that might be wondering if I'm ok. I am physically fine but am mired in a deep funk. I've lost my motivation to do most everything including photography and commenting photographs. You all are still in my thoughts and I've popped in several times to see your artistry but I'm fighting a different battle right now. I hope that I can find my zest soon and rejoin you in celebrating photography.

I can understand where you are coming from. Sometimes we all need a break from time to time. There are times this Summer that I should have been getting up early and going out for photography, but just couldn't push myself to do it. Eventually I worked my way out of it. Hope you can do the same.
I did wonder what happened to you.
Come back when you are ready

This is a real struggle Darren and one, I know, you have battled with before. Not an easy at all.
Please know I'm thinking of you and I hold out my virtual hand to you. Take it and know I am sending very positive thoughts of you and to you.
You matter...always remember that. You matter.

Darren, you're not alone. I usually find it's the 'little stuff' that all of a sudden bogs everything down and makes it all seem like a battle. Just remember one thing at a time. Good luck getting out of the funk - the fog will lift I assure you.

Hang in there Darren. Sometimes a little change in direction, be it in art or life, is just the ticket. You've been very supportive to many of us here, and I think you can see from these responses that a lot of people are backing you too. You're a creative photographer and I for one miss seeing you work.
Here's hoping for new images from you soon!jim pope

I've always told my daughters that the secret to life is adjusting. Everyone goes through hard times being loss of job, surgery, divorce, death of a close relative, etc. On the other side of a mountain is a beautiful rainbow waiting to be seen. Hang in there. Life usually gets better.
