Update & fairwell, but not for long

Byte memebers,

Joe's thread made me want to give you all an update on my lack of activity over the last few months. And also to say a temporary fairwell.

a lot of things have happened this year, but the big news is that my wife and I have decided to return to our home in South Africa, leaving the US permanently in October. we are crazy busy trying to get organized for this and as a result I have not devoted much time to photography.

that said, we are planning a final "great American roadtrip" taking about 6 weeks to travel across the country, and the camera will be in hand. So, in the next few months, you should see some posts from me again.

The great thing about this world we live in is that I can continue with this site and this community from anywhere. So, expect images and commentary from Africa, as soon as I am settled again.

thanks for everything over the last 5 or 6 years and here's to Byte's future.

Sometimes life takes a different turn and I see you used it for the better to return home.
I'm happy for you. Enjoy your trip though the US. Sorry I didnt get to meet up with both you and Buddy.
