Newbie... hallo everyone

Hi , my name is Howard and I'm from the UK but my job has me spending more time in Germany, Belgium and Holland then in the UK most of the time. I work for a company that manufactures packaging machines and I have to install and service them. Photography is a relatively new hobby for me and I purchased my first digital camera in 2006. I look forward to being a member of this photo community. I was actively searching the internet looking for a photo sharing and critique site and this one looked the nicest one I came across.

This is a great site and a great group of photographers.
The forum at this site is rather dead...alll of the attention is in the contest. You are allowed to enter two shots a week. The contest goes from Monday to Sunday...and the more photos that you comment on the more feedback you will get on your own entries.
