A Heartfelt Thank You

I would like to take a moment to thank all of the folks in this wonderful community for your kind comments and well wishes. I am deeply touched by the outpouring of encouragement and kindness that Cindy and I have received in the past week. This amazing show of compassion from people that I have only met through words and images reinforces what I have always believed;humans are caring, giving, and nurturing beings regardless of race, creed, age, or gender.

I have no doubt that I will beat this disease. I also know a couple of cancer survivors, my brother and my father. So you can say that it runs in the family, and I have every reason to believe that my outcome will be the same. I finally know the reason for the awful fatigue and weight loss I have been experiencing for the last few months, and I look forward to regaining my health.

As I write this, Cindy and I (and Bella) are preparing for a long weekend trip to the mountains of Kentucky to witness and record the wonderful explosion of color that nature blesses us with every year. Needless to say, this trip will have special meaning for us. Hopefully we will come home with a renewed outlook, and maybe a couple of winners (or at least a finalist)! (-:

Again, a very heartfelt thanks to all of the members (and Paul) of not only a great photo site, but wonderful, caring extended family.

Your words convey optimism and I believe that optimism will be highly beneficial to you as you weather this storm.
