A story I'd like to share
I just wanted to share this story with you all:
Yesterday I received my new camera (EOS 10D). I sure was excited!
I ordered it on 16 Aug from ePhotoClub .com.
My account was charged on 21 Aug.
My camera was not shipped until 23 Sep (over 30 days later).
When I received my camera yesterday (29 Sep) I was having a hard time figuring out why the flash would not work. After reading through the manual and playing with the camera I became pretty frustrated. By chance I looked in the box and found a envelope. Inside the envelope was a card and a sales receipt from "Cardinal Photo" in PA. Apparently it was purchased on 04 Sep by a professional photographer and he discovered the same thing I did, the flash does not work. He returned the camera back to Cardinal Photo on 6 Sep. Sometime between the 6th and 23rd of Sep, Cardinal photo, sold this "defective" camera to ePhotoClub, who then shipped it to me.
Talk about being pissed. It's a good thing I not anyplace near the east coast, or I would be on my way to jail.
I spoke with ePhotoClub last night, they will be sending me a "new" camera this friday (03 Oct).
Ok, I just wanted to vent and share my story.
Thanks
Gene

Unfortunately, this is very common when you order off of the internet. The best prices in places like pricegrabber.com and others are the businesses to avoid at all cost. There are only 2 dealers in the NYC area I would ever do business with, B&H Photo and Adorama. Here's the rating of ephotoclub.com - http://www.resellerratings.com/seller4229.html
Sorry for you bad experience. I would suggest calling your credit card company and seeing if you can cancel the charges and shop elsewhere. You'll be very fortunate to ever receive a new camera with a USA warranty from this company.Rich

Excellent call on resellerratings.com. That's the first site I check after I think I've found a deal, and I'm sure it's saved me more than a few headaches.
Another good NY etailer to deal with is buydigitaldirect.com. They receive consistently high marks at resellerratings and my own personal experience bore this out - a CP5700 for $717 BEFORE Nikon's $100 rebate. Full Nikon US warranty and had the camera within one week of ordering on the net, actually arrived a day earlier than expected.
On that note, perhaps a "Good guys, bad guys" forum would be useful on this site?

WOW,
Thanks for replys and the advice. So far I've spent almost $5K for two items and the one I have received is broke and the other (which I ordered 45 DAYS AGO) is still "in the mail". I should have asked where to shop long before I ordered my camera's.
Thanks again.
ps add "BUY-DIG.COM" to your list of "BAD GUYS"
