"Almost a photographer" says thanks for your great photos!

I consider myself an "almost photographer" - my point-&-shoot digital has died & I'm saving for my first SLR, but in the meantime I"m learning so much just from reading & viewing all your great posts. The comments help me understand what makes a good photo, & it seems to me that there are plenty of those here. Just wanted to say thanks to you all, & I hope to be able to join you in posting soon!

Could someone explain to me why the photo of the week has been the same for almost 2 weeks? I'm confused.

What sets this site apart is the willingness of the members here to make detailed comments. So many other places are mired in line after line of "nice shot" and "I like it." Glad you've been able to learn by watching. Can't wait to see you jump into the fray!

As far as the potw - I have no idea. Unfortunately, the site admin hasn't left any responses either.
