    Moab Photo Symposium

To anyone that is interested in spending 4 days in Moab, Utah.... I highly recommend the Moab Photo Symposium. It is VERY inexpensive and the knowledge gained is great. Check it out here:

I've been to 2, and am going this year also. Moab is minutes from Arches National Park and Canyonlands. Plenty of time early for exploring.

Thanks Carolyn, I see several things of interest on the list. Great time of year to be in moab as well. Have made note of the event. Looks as though a person could add to the toolbox and hone some skills.

Carolyn thanks for posting this. I don't think my sphere of photography is to this standard. However, there are photographers posting here who might feel themselves ready and I hope they'll get themselves off to this, it sounds wonderful.

Sheila, actually, you would fit in very nicely. And be well above the midline.

When I first attended it was May of 2005. I was really just getting serious. I'd had my first camera (Nikon D70) for almost 1 year. I wanted to learn more.

During this symposium, I not only learned a lot, made new friends and during my 2 portfolio reviews (Tom Till and Bruce Hucko) I was given the "courage" to step it up and go forward with my work.

The workshops are a great learning experience, the daily lectures are too. The cost is so low in comparison, and you have early mornings for photography at and around Moab, including Arches National Park, Canyonlands.....

    All levels of attendees.
